Nowadays, you can browse a dizzying array of bath-and-body products on store shelves. From dollar stores to department stores, a wide variety awaits the consumer. Some brands of bath products have existed for generations and have retained a loyal consumer base, while others are new to the market. With so many options available, finding the bath products that suit you best is often a challenge. In recent years, consumers have raised concerns over potentially toxic and/or carcinogenic ingredients in bath and body products. These concerns are well founded, and a market for natural/organic products has emerged. Consumers are increasingly seeking these natural products, which are often difficult to find and more expensive than mainstream brands. One such product I’ve recently tried is ‘Everyone Soap’, a 3 in one body wash, bubble bath, and shampoo, made in the USA by EO Products. I ordered my 32 oz. bottle online for $9.99, a fair price for the amount you get. Upon reading the label I immediately noticed the absence of any sulfates and parabens, two potentially toxic ingredients that are found in conventional brands. Everyone Soap is a plant based soap, which is an important consideration for people with sensitive skin. After using it as a body wash, I noticed that my skin didn’t seem to be as stripped of its natural oils as it is with regular soap. The lather was somewhat less rich and bubbly than conventional body washes, but there was certainly enough to do the job. The wash is infused with pure essential oils and plant extracts. These include Lemon Peel Oil, Organic Coconut Flavor Extract, Organic Aloe Leaf Extract, Organic Calendula Flower Extract, Organic Matricaria Flower Extract, Organic Calendula Flower Extract, and Organic Camelia Sinensis Leaf Extract. Although Everyone Soap isn’t certified 100% organic, the inclusion of these organic active ingredients is a bonus. The scent is a pleasant and refreshing coconut-lemon. I did notice that the scent faded more quickly then conventional body washes because of the natural coconut-lemon ingredients, but that is a small price to pay for the absence of harsh synthetic fragrances.
For those consumers concerned about GMO’s (Genetically Modified Organisms) in their bath products, it is important to note that Everyone Soap is “Non GMO Project” verified. The wash is not tested on animals, and is certified Gluten-Free.
When I tried Everyone Soap as a shampoo, I was a bit less impressed. My hair turned out clean, but not as soft as it does with regular shampoos. For this reason I would recommend it exclusively as a body wash/bubble bath.
Everyone Soap is formulated for use by the whole family, and I tested this claim by using it to bathe my one year old daughter. She had no adverse reactions. The versatility of Everyone Soap and its gentle formulation makes it very convienent, and it has earned its niche in the natural/organic market.
- Everyone Soap is suitable for the entire family, including infants.
- Has a pleasant, refreshing scent.
- Free of parabens and sulfates.
- Free of synthetic dyes and fragrances.
- Cleanses skin gently without stripping skin of its natural oils.
- Used as a shampoo, the wash cleansed well, but did not soften my hair as regular shampoos do.
- The coconut-lemon scent fades from skin shortly after washing.
Everyone Soap is a more natural alternative to conventional body washes and soaps, designed for use by the entire family. It cleanses well, has a pleasant, though short-lived, scent, and is made with organic, plant-based ingredients. It is best used as a body wash or bubble bath. The absence of sulfates, parabens, and synthetic dyes and fragrances makes it perfectly suitable for anyone interested in natural/organic bath products.
